Is there really no cost to us as a property owner?

Correct. Voltiva funds 100% of the infrastructure — including hardware, installation, permitting, utility upgrades, and all ongoing operations. You provide access to your parking stalls and we handle every dollar of capital expenditure. There are no hidden costs, no equipment leases, and no maintenance fees passed to you at any point during the agreement.

How does the parking stall rent work?

Qualifying site hosts receive rent on the parking stalls designated for EV charging. The rent amount is agreed upon upfront and outlined clearly in your site host proposal before any agreement is signed. It's a straightforward, predictable payment — not tied to charger utilization or network performance.

How long does installation typically take?

From signed agreement to go-live, plan for 9–15 months in most markets. The majority of that time is permitting and utility interconnect — not construction. The actual build phase typically runs 2–4 months. We provide regular status updates throughout and flag any timeline changes as soon as we know about them.

Question 5

What does my property need to qualify?

Accepted Answer

Generally: adequate parking area, proximity to sufficient electrical capacity, and consistent traffic from EV-driving customers. Retail centers, QSRs, convenience stores, and commercial properties are our ideal partners. You don't need to know your electrical capacity in advance — our team assesses that during site qualification. Reach out and we'll evaluate your site quickly, at no cost.

Who owns the charging equipment?

Accepted Answer

Voltiva owns all charging hardware and electrical infrastructure installed at your site. You have no asset liability, no maintenance obligations, and no capital at risk. We are a charge point operator, not a hardware vendor.

Question 7

Who is responsible for maintenance and repairs?

Accepted Answer

Voltiva. We monitor all charging stations 24/7 via our network operations center. When a fault is detected, we respond — remotely first, on-site if required. Your team has no maintenance obligations whatsoever. You will never receive a service call or a maintenance invoice from us.

How long is the site host agreement?

Standard agreements are 15 years, consistent with the long-term nature of charging infrastructure investment. We work with site hosts to ensure terms are transparent, fair, and include reasonable provisions for site changes, renovations, or other circumstances that may arise over the agreement term.

Can I upgrade the chargers during the agreement?

Yes. Voltiva is committed to keeping your site current as EV technology evolves. Equipment upgrades are evaluated based on site performance and technology availability, and are managed and funded entirely by Voltiva. You don't need to plan for or budget for hardware refresh cycles.

What happens if I want to end the agreement early?

Our site host agreements include provisions for early termination under specific circumstances. Your Voltiva representative will walk you through these terms during the proposal stage so there are no surprises. We build partnerships for the long term and work collaboratively with hosts when circumstances change.

How fast will Voltiva chargers charge my vehicle?

Accepted Answer

Our chargers deliver up to 400 kW of DC fast charging power. The actual charge rate depends on your vehicle's onboard charging capacity. At a Voltiva site, you can typically add 150–200+ miles of range in 20–30 minutes.

What connector types do Voltiva chargers support?

Accepted Answer

Voltiva chargers support both CCS (Combined Charging System) and Tesla-adapted connectors, so virtually every EV on the road today can charge at our sites — no adapter required on your end.

Do I need a membership or app to use Voltiva chargers?

Accepted Answer

No. Voltiva chargers accept credit and debit cards and major mobile payment options directly at the unit — no account, membership, or app required. Optional network accounts are available for frequent users who prefer simplified billing and charge history.

How do I know if a charger is working before I arrive?

Charger availability and status can be checked in real time through most major EV navigation apps, including those built into your vehicle. Voltiva's network operations center monitors all stations continuously, and out-of-service chargers are flagged and addressed proactively.

What if I have a problem while charging?

Our driver support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The support number is displayed clearly on every charger. Our network operations team monitors all stations in real time and is typically aware of issues before drivers report them.
